To create your own personal beasts study guide you will need: small hardcover book that's not too thick. I found this daily planner at the dollar store. It's the perfect size! It reminded me of the spiderwick books that my daughter and I loved so much. This book is 3.75" wide X 5.5" tall X .5" thick. You will also need a craft knife, computer graphics software, cream or aged paper, tacky glue or something similar to glue the book binding.
Use the craft knife to carefully cut out the interior of the small hardcover book. Measure the page size. This will b the size of the new pages. With my book I was able to get four pages to one 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper. Design a basic, blank field study page. Leave some blank and fill out some with your own beast findings. Then design a cover. I found this image on the Internet and liked it.
Cut out your home made pages and stack them in the order u want. I put mine in alphabetical order. Glue the binding edge with tacky glue or something similar. I used clothes pins to clamp the pages tightly together while the glue dried. After the pages r dry, flip thru and add a pinch on glue to any loose pages. I had a few loose pages, but overall thought the tacky glue did a pretty good job.
To glue the stack into the hardcover u will need a single sheet to cover the book inside cover and top of stack. U will glue the same size sheet to the back inside portion of the book. I used a map of my daughters university and photo shopped it to look old and magical. I love it when books or stories come with maps! Who doesn't?
