This wood castle is from Michaels 25$ or cheaper with coupon. I am going to convert it into the Harry Potter Hogwarts castle. It could then be used as a shadow box, toy, or miniature.
The first thing I did was fill in the open top with wood on both sides. I needed more rooms. You do not need to do this unless u want more rooms also. I used the Ultimate cutter, a scroll saw and craft wood to accomplish this task.
I spackled the seems after I made the modification. When it is dry, I will sand the spackle smooth.
I stained the front door with Express Finish Pecan stain. I then textured the entire castle inside and out with Tim Holtz Ranger Texture Paste and his brick and stone stencil.
