It's fun and easy to turn an inexpensive craft box into something magical. Get these craft boxes from Consumer Crafts for $1.27

Start with a plain white craft box, add scrapbook paper, stickers, glitter and all other manner of mess making craft supplies and viola! A super fun project!

I keep craft supplies in my boxes. These are some of the supplies I used to create these boxes. This is a great artsy fartsy craft project for kids or adults. Anyone can decorate a box because there is no wrong way to do it. Mistakes can easily be covered up with images or stickers. So have a go!

This year's magic box is from the restricted section. The theme is 'polybooze potion '. My Harry Potter fans have grown up and are adults now. So time for a bit of restricted section fun.

I used a lot of different art media to create this look. I used a bit of everything. So have a closer look at the picture with the crafting supplies. Use whatever you have on hand. Use your favorite crafting products. Also, don't be afraid to make and cut your own image. I hand cut this cauldron out of scrapbook paper. I sanded the edges to make it look distressed. I wanted the cauldron to be big, so I had to make it myself to get the size I wanted.

The box will be more interesting if you add a bit of texture and dimension. Try Ranger Texture Paste and a stencil for dimension. Also try scrapbook paper with texture. I used a piece of black craft foam under the cauldron to get it to 'pop' off the box.

I used glitter as often as possible because witches like glitter!

I like to decorate the inside cover so I have more to mess with and more to enjoy when it's complete!
